Those uneven pavements, a knee-sore of Mysore, has been a much debated issue for long at the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) council , says 'The Hindu' (March 11, 2005), adding that a project for streamlining the pavement was announced during last Dasara. The municipal authorties even persuaded the traders to chip in Rs.10,000 towards cost.

What happened then; and why, the hold-up in the project ? It would probably take some following-up on 'The Hindu' story by the media and proactive move by shoppers and traders alike to get meaningful answers.
